Backyard Basketball

The Backyard Basketball brings back the way basketball was played in the backyard: without stands, serious coaches and strict rules. Here the player assembles a team himself, gives it a name, designs the site and even edits the conditions of the match so that the fights go the way he likes. On the court, it is not complex tactics that are valued, but tricks and speed. Overhead throws, dribbles and passes across the entire court are the order of the day here, and the more spectacular the movement, the more pleasant it is to watch the replay. The controls are simple: a few buttons plus an understanding of when to pass and when to throw yourself. The matches are short and suitable for playing in a group: several people on one screen, the score grows quickly, and offensive mistakes in the last seconds happen more often than we would like. There is also a tournament path, where the team goes along the grid from opponent to opponent. It is also worth noting that child players differ in their abilities: some are better throwers from a distance, others are faster at running ahead. There are also special throws that charge up as the match progresses and bring several points at once. Rule settings allow you to reduce meeting time, which is convenient when playing with children or beginners. There are also statistics on matches, where you can see who scored more often and how many times the team won in the last seconds. There is no depth here, like in simulators, and there is no need for it: the main thing is the mood. Backyard Basketball is a light arcade game about the time when the courtyard playground seemed like a real stadium, and the game neatly supports this feeling.
