UEFA EURO 2008

The 2008 European Championships took place in Austria and Switzerland, and UEFA EURO 2008 became the official game of that tournament. In addition to the final part with real groups and rosters, there is a qualifying cycle, where one of the teams can go a long way to the summer tournament. This format allows you to play for a team that actually didn’t make it to the championship, and lead it to the title. The main highlight is the national team captain mode. The player creates a football player, brings him onto the field and gradually becomes the leader of the national team: from a substitute to a captain who decides the fate of matches. The opportunity to play for one team with four players online firmly connected the game with a group of friends, because everyone is responsible for their own zone, and not for the entire team. The matches take place in the atmosphere of a summer tournament: stadiums, crowds with flags, music and decoration in the colors of the championship. There is also an online competition where teams compete in the national standings, which added excitement to fans from different countries. The match schedule, draw and atmosphere of the stands are designed in such a way that the tension of the tournament is felt: being eliminated in the playoffs at the last minute is really upsetting. Difficulty settings allow you to either enjoy football or fight for results seriously, and the controls are clear from the first minutes. Due to the compactness of the project, there is nothing superfluous here - everything is subordinated to one event, and this is for the better. The game is considered one of the best tournament releases in the history of the series. It is small in volume, but it is focused on one event and conveys its mood much better than universal football simulators.
