Skate 3

The Skate 3 is part of a series where team and team skating are at the forefront. The story takes place in Port Carverton, a city made up of neighborhoods, squares, a university campus, and parks connected by streets. The player assembles his own team, completes tasks, shoots videos and gradually achieves recognition in the skate community. The controls in this series are fundamentally different than in arcade skate games: tricks are set by stick movements that simulate footwork, and landing requires precise calculation. Because of this, falls happen often, but successful lines look more believable and cause more pride. The game now has a training mode, where a beginner learns the basics of skating and tricks, and difficulty settings allow you to make the game more demanding or softer. In addition to the career, there is free skating, competitions for points and multiplayer with friends: together you can take on tasks or just look for spots throughout the city. It’s also worth noting the sound: the creaking of wheels, the thud of a board when falling, and the noise of the city create the right atmosphere. Photo mode and replay recording allow you to save successful tricks, which was important for the skate community. The weather and time of day change the look of Port Carverton, and with it the riding mood. The Skate 3 is considered one of the best skateboarding designs ever: it's demanding but honest, and teaches you how to actually skate, not just mash button combinations.
