Description
Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 - the coast, dotted with rusty hulls, turns into a work site: giant ships need to be dismantled for metal. The work is done in the first person, with hands and tools, and it all starts with a small vessel and a couple of assistants. The first contract barely covers the cost of the tools, but it gives an idea of how this fishery works.
Dismantling is not much like pressing one button. First, the casing is cut off, then the internal compartments are opened, where valuable components, copper cables and equipment are found. They take some for themselves, sell some for scrap, and the proceeds go towards new equipment. The cutter requires fuel and maintenance, and loading the metal onto the equipment takes time, so the day is scheduled according to tasks.
There are plenty of dangers: rusty structures collapse, fuel and toxic substances remain in the holds, so it is worth assessing the risk before work. Large ships require special clothing and more serious tools, and sometimes an entire crew. The team can be expanded: workers demolish metal faster, but require payment and a place to rest.
Orders come from owners and factories: the more complex the project, the higher the payment. Between shifts, you can set up a base, hire workers and improve the cutter to take on hulls that previously seemed impregnable. Large airliners are dismantled in parts: first the superstructure is removed, then the hull is opened and the engines are pulled out. In the holds there are old things that are valued more highly by collectors than iron. Sometimes work takes place in a port where other ships are moored nearby, and you have to act carefully so as not to destroy other people's property.
For everyone who loves simulators of hard work with gradual development and risk under your feet.
