Seed of the Dead

Seed of the Dead combines two seemingly incompatible genres: a first-person shooter about zombies and a romance with elements of adult content. The world is covered in a pandemic, most people have turned into aggressive creatures, and the survivors have to stick together. The combat unit is made according to the classic scheme: go forward, clear the premises, monitor ammo and health. Weapons vary in recoil and destructive power, and partners help with fire and tips. Levels are built as short forays, after which the heroes return to base. Between tasks, the other side of the game begins: conversations, common affairs and gradual rapprochement with squad members. Both the ending and the set of available scenes depend on this, so you shouldn’t skip the dialogues. Some of the material is addressed to an adult audience, and this is stated explicitly. It is also worth noting that weapons can be improved: new barrels and modules significantly change the course of attacks, and the resources found are used for ammunition and first aid kits. Relationships with partners do not grow on their own - they need to be supported by conversations and joint activities, otherwise scenes simply will not open. All of this makes the game slower than your average shooter, and that's a deliberate choice. The levels become longer and more dangerous, so you have to decide whether to take one partner into the squad or go with two and risk both. This is a project for a narrow audience, assembled without claims to technical perfection. But the idea of ​​“shoot and communicate” is implemented consistently: shootouts provide tension, and conversations provide a respite between attacks.
