Precursors is a first-person sci-fi action game set in a world where space has already been conquered by humans, and the meeting with alien races was peaceful. Danger comes from the other side: the threat turns out to be not what was feared, but something else. The player explores planets, completes missions and participates in shootouts. There is character development, weapons, equipment and the ability to fly between worlds. Some locations are open for free movement, and along the way there are side quests. The structure of the game is heterogeneous: in addition to combat episodes, there are tasks for delivery, trading and communication. The tone of the story is almost comical at times, which is unusual for the genre. It is also worth noting that in addition to shooting, there is trade and exchange of resources, as well as the ability to improve the ship and weapons. In addition to planets, there are space stations where people and aliens live, and you can negotiate with them. There are also tasks from factions that influence the attitude towards the hero. The project was made by a small team, so unevenness is noticeable in places, but the idea is consistent. For those who enjoy unconventional space adventures, the Precursors remains an intriguing option. At the same time, there is also the opportunity to change equipment, as well as improve the ship in order to get to distant planets. Some of the tasks are related to factions, and their interests do not always coincide. The project was made by a small team and is not distinguished by technical brilliance, but the idea of ​​a great space adventure was realized. For those who like such experiments, the Precursors is an interesting option.
