Phantom Brigade

Phantom Brigade is a turn-based strategy game in the science fiction genre. The country has become the victim of a large-scale invasion, the army has been defeated, and the occupation has already begun. The player takes on the role of a resistance commander who is trying to reclaim his homeland. He spends most of his time leading small squads of 'Mechs on dangerous missions. Pilots are injured during hard landings. Each combat vehicle is allowed to be seriously modified. Weapons and armor, mechanical parts and camouflage change. All these aspects affect combat effectiveness. Hangars store captured vehicles. Reconnaissance reveals enemy positions on the map. The most powerful mech is useless without a pilot, so protecting subordinates from injury comes to the fore. This applies to the enemy to the same extent. If you force the enemy to leave the cockpit and run, his car will be captured and your position strengthened. Repairing armor takes days of the campaign. Losses in the squad affect the entire campaign. Orders are given before the turn begins. The campaign is developing dynamically. On the strategic map, the player himself chooses targets and territories to attack. The extracted resources and the enemy's losses determine the further course of the conflict. The tasks are varied: sabotage of other people's facilities with the best equipment, infiltration of bases and direct attacks. In most skirmishes, the player's forces are outnumbered, so the mission must be completed before reinforcements arrive. The campaign can drag on for dozens of battles. Anyone who likes to think in turn-based combat will find this game suitable.
