Osiris: New Dawn

Osiris: New Dawn is a third-person adventure game where the player explores the Gliese 581 system, whose planets have not yet been explored. The main activity is reconnaissance, setting up bases and encounters with the local fauna, which is not always happy with guests. You have to start from scratch: collect resources, put up shelter, get water and oxygen. Planets have different climates and dangers, so equipment has to be selected to suit the conditions. As development progresses, transport, production and more serious weapons appear. There is also a multiplayer part: you can play in a group, build common bases and explore territories together. Individual points on the map are connected to the plot, and what happened to the colony before the hero's arrival is gradually revealed. It is also worth noting that different planets require different preparations: somewhere you need a heat-protective suit, somewhere you need a supply of oxygen and weapons. In addition to construction, there is transport, which significantly speeds up exploration and cargo transportation. The cooperative allows you to share responsibilities: one takes care of the base, the other researches. The game is long and leisurely, but this is precisely what allows it to keep interest in the distant points of the map. Separately, it is worth noting that on the planets there are also abandoned objects with records explaining the past of the colony. There is also a sandbox mode where you can build without regard to plot restrictions. The game is large and slow, with long periods of preparation before the attacks. For those who love space and survival, the Osiris: New Dawn provides plenty of space and plenty of activity for dozens of hours.
