Hex of Steel

The Hex of Steel takes you back to World War II, where troops are controlled on land, sea and in the air. The project is a full-scale wargame: moves are made on a global world map, which includes Europe, Africa and the Pacific regions. You can fight against artificial intelligence in a single-player campaign and historical scenarios, as well as in cross-platform PBEM mode and multiplayer skirmishes with other players, including co-op. Staffs plan operations in advance. Reinforcements are using up supplies. Single-player missions include basic diplomacy, standard missions and NATO-style units, territory and unit capture, warfare, and army management. Troops are moved, detachments are formed, strategic decisions are worked out. The editor allows you to create locations, units, countries and quests, and random generation of scenarios adds variety. Rivers and mountains set the direction of the blows. During the passage, the player will have full control over the selected state - from the economic sector to the military. The faction is developing and leveling up, diplomatic negotiations are underway. The story campaign branches into several main branches. Units of different countries differ in weapons. The soundtrack immerses you in what is happening, and weather changes affect the mechanics of army control. A map editor for scenarios and full multiplayer are available separately. Scripts reproduce known operations. For those who love turn-based wargames, this game is suitable.
