Dungeon Siege 2 - the squad once again sets out on a journey through the lands of Aranna to deal with the ancient evil. This time, the developers clearly took into account the complaints about the simplicity of the first part and added depth to both the battles and the development of the heroes. Before the start, the main character is selected, who is joined by partners during the course of the campaign - their number depends on the difficulty, from three to six. The squad marches in formation, and the battle is almost never paused: the squad fights themselves while the player changes stances, distributes potions and assigns targets. Leveling up is divided into branches: warrior, mage, battle mage and shooter, and skills grow based on what the character does on the field. Teleports between cities and armor sets have appeared in the game - a fully assembled set provides additional characteristics, which turns the search for equipment into a separate activity. Along the way you come across merchants, warehouses, riddles and hordes of enemies, which take a fair amount of potions. Loot is sold and dismantled, bags swell, and on high difficulty the battle turns into a calculation of positions and roles between partners. In large dungeons, traps and hiding places are visible on the map, but it is not possible to see them right away, so the squad moves carefully. Multiplayer allows you to go through the campaign with friends, and a pack mule takes some of the worry out of an overloaded inventory. The fight depends on reading the enemy: each creature has a vulnerability to the elements, and changing spells decides more than an extra level. For those who remember the old role-playing campaigns with a squad and want to return to them in an updated form.
