Day of Infamy

Day of Infamy was originally created as a mod for Insurgency, but soon became an independent addon in the shooter genre about the Second World War. The multiplayer tactical simulator takes place in Europe, and maps are recreated from military conflicts from 1941 to 1945. The trial is based on military operations of the era. These included the Battles of Normandy and the Beach Landings, the Invasion of Crete, the British-French evacuation of Dunkirk, the Western Allied advance into Germany, the Italian Campaign with Sicily, and the Battle of the Bulge, the last major German offensive campaign on the Western Front. The shooter offers nine character classes: officer, gunner, assault, flamethrower, machine gunner, engineer, radio operator, sniper and support. Teams have access to a different number of support groups depending on the mode: supply points are given for completing tasks and killing enemies. They are spent on weapons and equipment for fighters, choosing a class and a weight system that affects endurance and speed. The character dies in one shot. There are several modes: Frontline with five control points and an equal number of waves of reinforcements, Invasion with attack and defense, Offensive with endless reinforcements of defenders, Liberation with bonuses for taking objectives behind the enemy line, Intel on the model of capture the flag, Skirmish with the capture of important points and Sabotage, where the attacking group seeks out and destroys enemy defenses.
