Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter about the First World War and the fifteenth installment in the series. The campaign is divided into five chapters and begins with a prologue, and the story is told from the perspective of tank driver Daniel Edwards, who before the front was an ordinary driver and controls the Black Bass tank. The prologue explains the rules brutally: from the first minutes the player sees that almost everyone dies here. Instead of one long story, the anthology allows you to look at the war from different sides: the sky over France, the deserts of Arabia, the snow of the Alps and the trenches. Each episode is shorter than usual, but the scenes are more memorable than in many large campaigns. The technology of the First World War manages without the usual electronics: tanks stall, and planes keep their word of honor. The multiplayer part is built on large maps and destruction: settlements collapse under fire, and weapons of the time require reloading and patience. Classes share responsibilities, and technology is designed for several people. Weapons are limited by era: bolt guns, rifles, machine guns and trench grenades, and each requires a different approach. Modes test endurance: attacks and defenses on the same points, gas attacks, cavalry breakthroughs and battles for sectors with a stretched tempo. Expansions added fleets and colonial troops, and the community continues to play years later. The additions added naval battles and Russian troops, and there were noticeably more maps and modes. For those who want to see war without the gloss and love big field battles, this part is suitable.
