ASTRONEER is a space adventure where resources are obtained from finds on other planets, and everything brought from the expedition is willingly bought up. Humanity is hunting for gold again, sending explorers into space. The suit and instruments allow you to breathe in any environment, so the main problem becomes logistics and distances. Collected materials are stacked and transported manually or by cable. The action takes place in the 25th century, when the Earth has already been used to the limit. The player lands on an alien planet with a minimum of tools and gradually develops the territory. The world is divided into planets and satellites with different conditions: somewhere there is wind and storms, somewhere there are ice caves and poisonous plants. You can dig both deep and along the surface, and the materials are collected in convenient piles. There are different dangers on surfaces: gas clouds, storms and cold require preparation, so you always have supplies of oxygen and energy with you. Some finds, like shipwrecks, yield rare materials but are found in the most inconvenient places. You can play alone or with friends, dividing planets and bases between each other. Construction proceeds in modules: research stations, generators and vehicles are assembled from found components. You can play together with friends, and this turns mastering the system into a common endeavor. Transport appears later: buggies, trains and rockets connect the bases with each other, and automation removes part of the routine. You can go around the entire world, but it will take more than one game session. For players who like quiet exploration and simple engineering, these planets are suitable.
