A Game of Thrones: The Board Game - Digital Edition is a digital adaptation of the board game, developed under an official license from the owners of the rights to the Game of Thrones franchise. You have to rely on luck in battles between units that the player has no influence on, and on your own strategy for the sake of an advantage over enemies from other clans. You can play offline against opponents controlled by artificial intelligence, as well as online with five other users. Orders are given on the map of Westeros. The primary source is the works of George R.R. Martin, and the events of the series are ignored in places. There are six factions to choose from: Lannisters, Starks, Martels, Greyjoys, Tyrrells and Baratheons. Each has unique features that affect the game for one side or another of the conflict in the struggle for the Seven Kingdoms. Reinforcements arrive from ports and fortresses. Gameplay is divided into ten rounds, during which diplomacy and military skills are used to achieve goals. Conquered positions give an advantage before the final battle, which decides who will receive the Iron Throne, King's Landing and all the lands of Westeros. The success of one house annoys the neighbors. An important part is the invasion of wildlings trying to break through the Night's Watch. The danger from the north is considered a common problem for the rulers and requires unification to save people from the destructive power of savages.
